A new home for wood products research and design implementation at the Richmond Field Station (UC Berkeley)

Prof. Daniel Sanchez and I are working on the renovation of the spaces of the old Forest Products Laboratory at the Richmond Field Station. The new spaces will house the capacity to mill logs up to 36 inches in diameter, solar dry kiln lumber, manufacture structural wood products, and innovative wood product demonstrators. The new space will also have a state-of-the-art wood shop for research and education with a 4-axis CNC.

An outdoor concrete foundation pad will be available for temporary demonstrators and structures.
